Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, SWITCH, Maestro, SOLO, American Express and JCB. You must pay for the items you purchase at the time you place your order.

You will receive confirmation of your order to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will accept your order, and hence a contract will be created between us, when we receive payment from you. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

You must be 16 or over to order contact lenses and glasses from Posh Eyes, and you must not be registered blind or partially sighted. You must not order on behalf of someone else, whether under or over 16 years of age.

To purchase contact lenses you must have been provided with a contact lens prescription given to you by a registered optician within the last year, and we are required by law to confirm your prescription details with your optician. Your contact lens prescription is specific to the make and type of lens worn, and we are not able to substitute the lens on your prescription with a different make and type. If we are not able to complete your order because you have not been issued with a contact lens prescription by your optician within the last year, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £4.99, and is levied irrespective of whether the order is cancelled within the statutory cancellation period. To purchase glasses, you must have a prescription given to you by an registered optician following an eye test conducted within the last 2 years.

If you order prescription glasses we also require your Pupillary Distance, sometimes known as PD (which is the distance between your pupils measured in millimetres). This measurement only takes a minute or two to take by your optician. Before you order your glasses from us please ask your optician to measure your PD, either at the time of your eye test or afterwards. We can measure your PD from and old pair of your glasses for which there is a charge of £4.99 including VAT. This is added to your total payable when we send your new glasses to you.

If you require bifocal, varifocal or progressive glasses, or lenses with prism measurements, you will need to visit us in Oxford or one our partner opticians for us to take the necessary measurements. Please contact us in advance to arrange an appointment. Please note that the Free Crizal Alize coating does not apply to bifocal, varifocal or progressive lenses.

Each of the goods will be accompanied by details of your prescription. Please check these details carefully before using the goods, and contact us if the details do not match those on your original order.

The Posh Eyes Plan
If you sign up to the Posh Eyes Plan when purchasing your contact lenses, you will be entitled to a discount off any future purchases of the same lenses made by Direct Debit. Membership of the plan does not entitle the member to discounts off any other purchase from Posh Eyes of contact lenses, solutions or glasses. Payment for goods after the first purchase must be made by Direct Debit. Posh Eyes has the right to receive payment for the full price of contact lenses purchased if the Direct Debit Form is not returned to Posh Eyes within 2 weeks from the date of order. Posh Eyes will notify members by email at least 10 days in advance of the first payment by Direct Debit, of the amount to be collected. Posh Eyes will also notify members by email at least 10 days in advance of any changes in the amount to be collected by Direct Debit. Direct Debit collections will be made at or near the end of the month prior to delivery.

Members must inform Posh Eyes in writing of any changes to their prescription details at least 5 working days in advance of when their next delivery is due. A member is responsible for the return of lenses and solutions to Posh Eyes, including payment of carriage costs, in the event that the member fails to inform Posh Eyes of a change in prescription. Posh Eyes may also charge a handling and delivery charge of up to £5.00 inc. VAT for resending lenses to these members.

Members may cancel their membership of the Posh Eyes Plan at any time by providing at least 5 working day notice. Posh Eyes will contact members if a new prescription is due. Members should notify Posh Eyes by email, of details of their latest contact lens prescription.

NHS Vouchers
Posh Eyes accepts NHS vouchers for customers to redeem against their purchases of contact lenses and glasses. Posh Eyes must receive original completed vouchers from customers in order for the value of the voucher to be redeemed, and for goods to be sent.

Posh Eyes has the right to charge for full payment of purchases in the event that NHS vouchers are not received within 2 weeks of order placement.
Shipping And Handling
Royal Mail Second Class Post: Free of Charge in the UK. Optional Royal Mail First Class and Royal Mail Special Delivery. International Signed For Delivery for overseas orders.

When an order is placed on the Posh Eyes website, a customer has the opportunity to save his/her order details (not payment details), to assist with future purchases. All orders placed online include a £5.00 online discount.
Delivery Schedule
Contact Lenses sent by Royal Mail generally arrive within 7 working days from placement of order. However this lead time is an estimate and not a guarantee, and we can not be held responsible for delays caused by our suppliers. In the unlikely event that we feel we are unable to deliver an order within 7 working days, we will contact the customer to determine the course of action he/she wishes to take, which will include the option to cancel the order.

Please allow 14 days from receipt of your order for delivery of your single vision glasses. If you are redeeming an NHS Voucher against your purchase of glasses, you should allow 14 days from when we receive your Voucher for delivery of your glasses. If you order varifocal or bifocal glasses, please allow 21 days from when your varifiocal/bifocal measurements are taken at one of our partner opticians.

If purchasing contact lenses, Posh Eyes will confirm your prescription details with your optician who conducted your orginal eye test or contact lens fitting.
Tax Charges
All our prices are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

If you join the Posh Eyes Plan and pay by Direct Debit, you are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. This means that if an error is made by Posh Eyes or your bank, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund from you bank of the amount paid.
Guarantee
Our maximum liability (and that of our employees, agents, and subcontractors) to you in connection with any physical damage caused to your property through the negligence of us (or our emplyees, agents and subcontractors) wiill not in any circumstances exceed £10,000. In all other cases, our total liability will not exceed the price of the goods or services to which the claim relates.

Returns Policy
We are unable to accept returns of glasses unless they are faulty or damaged. However, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of placement. You may be charged for any customisation of your glasses (e.g. manufacturing of the lenses) from the date you placed your order.

You may cancel your contact lens order your within 10 working days of receipt of your lenses. You must then return the goods to us within 28 days of placement of your order. You will receive full credit for your order less £4.99 associated with the administration of contacting your optician to confirm your prescription details (please see Making a Purchase section above). If the reason for return is due to an error on our part, we will refund the cost of carriage. Otherwise the purchaser is responsible for returning the goods and is liable for any lost in transits. We strongly recommend that recorded delivery is used to return goods to Posh Eyes. Returned goods must be in their original unopened boxes and in as-new condition.

Posh Eyes will send trial frames to UK addressses only, and frames must be returned to Posh Eyes within 7 days of receipt.
